Mudgeeraba Special School is a state school for special students with a diagnosed intellectual impairment and secondary impairments including vision, hearing, physical and Autism disorders.
Our school prides itself on relationships as being the key to each young person achieving our vision of “Happiness through Achievement”. Our school is a high performing school with well-trained experienced staff who meet the diverse needs of every students. Mudgeeraba Special School has won a number of state awards and a national award for excellence. It is a student focussed school that strives to develop independent citizens.
Our school is a member of the Greenheart Coalition. The Coalition members include Mudgeeraba State School, Mudgeeraba Creek State School, Springbrook State School, Clover Hill State School, Robina State High School and Mudgeeraba Special School. The Coalition works collaboratively sharing human resources, facilities and professional expertise.
We are also a member of the South East Special School Alliance. The Alliance includes Currumbin Community Special School, Southport Special School, Beenleigh Special School, Logan City Special School, Redlands Special School and Mudgeeraba Special School. In 2015 we recruited a Master Teacher position to strengthen our Four Blocks Literacy Model with a major focus on writing development.
